Free Comic Review: Casper’s Spookville, 2019
Today’s comic is another one I picked up this weekend. Like Archie, this one is a perfect little slice of my childhood.
There are 3 short stories in this done in the more current style, and one in the older Casper style that’s just a one-page comic. We get to revisit Pearl (or Poil, as Spooky calls her), Wendy, Spooky, Hot Stuff, and the Ghostly Trio. We get to see Casper make some new animal friends, too.
The stories are great little intros to the characters, if you haven’t met them before. And if you have, it’s fun to revisit.
This is one comic I’ll be keeping, instead of re-homing once I’ve read it. Casper just always hits those warm fuzzy notes for me.
