Shifting her weight, Ari felt the heft of the hilt in her grip, reacquainting herself with it. It'd been a long time. A really long time. But even as she started the most basic flourish and the fading light of the sun hit the blade, it felt like none had passed at all. "Are you dressing?" Short. Because she assumed Casey would know what she meant as she focused on her breathing rather than too many words, "If not, you should. It'll be a good time,"
Aurora Bay events typically were in her experience. Not that she really went all out at them. It gave her an excuse to be around people and soak in that buzz atmosphere without having to integrate into it too much. No exhausting amounts of small talk because everyone was swept away with the commotion and she could bounce in and out and around fairly unnoticed. Just a little moth in a sea of butterflies. This one would be a little different, given she might have a chance to perform, but all in all, she expected to go about it the same. Dragging Casey out here for company had been impulsive though, so, maybe she'd prove herself wrong.
Ari hummed, twisting and letting the blade fall, twirling it before switching hands. "One of your wow characters? Maybe?"
