2009
Just saw the new trailer for season 4 of Chaos Theory. Think it looks good and I pray for Yasammy to be together again.
Also, I was picturing my Casey OC in the trailer and I did picture him saying this line, “Yaz… Kenj… Sam… Ben… Brooklynn… D… I’m done running.” while preparing a shock prod.
Was that cool or not?

Death of an It Girl
What happens when the glamour fades? Dive into the life of Casey Johnson, the enigmatic baby powder heiress whose dazzling public persona masked a world of hidden struggles and poignant moments

Often, when we think of the term "It Girl," names that come to mind include Paris Hilton, Megan Fox, or even Serena van der Woodsen. But someone who is often left out of that category—or even forgotten—came from one of the wealthiest empires in the world. Meet Casey Johnson, the Baby Powder Heiress.
Casey Johnson (born Sale Trotter Case Johnson) was born on September 24, 1979, to philanthropist and socialite Nancy Sale Johnson and Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets and heir to Johnson & Johnson. Casey was the oldest of three children: Jaime Johnson (b. 1982) and Daisy Johnson (b. 1987). She was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side and lived in the penthouse at 834 Fifth Avenue.
Although Casey was born into immense privilege, her home life was far from a dream. Her father, Woody, wasn't affectionate, and because Casey was so unique, he didn't know how to show his love. Instead, he often overindulged her—once even buying her a brand-new car before she had a driver's license. At the age of eight, Casey was diagnosed with diabetes and co-wrote a book with her father entitled Managing Your Child's Diabetes.
While living in New York, Casey attended several schools: first the Chapin School, then the all-girls Marymount School, and finally the Dwight School, where she studied alongside Paris Hilton. After graduating in 2001, she attended Brown University for only a few semesters before dropping out when she learned her poodle, Zoe, would not be allowed to live in her dorm.
After leaving Brown, she struggled to find her path. She briefly taught singing to children at Dwight School, interned at her friend and publicist Lizzie Grubman's PR firm, and later became the beauty editor for Manhattan File. The same year, the magazine folded and her parents divorced. Coupled with constant tabloid scrutiny, Casey took this as a sign to leave the East Coast for California.
Once in Los Angeles, Casey became inseparable from fellow socialites Nicky and Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Bijou Phillips, often seen partying and clubbing with them. She bonded closely with the group and was even asked by Paris Hilton (after Nicky declined) to join her on The Simple Life. Casey turned it down, fearing reality TV would damage her acting ambitions—a decision she later called the "stupidest mistake of [her] life."
In 2002, Casey, along with Elisabeth Kieselstein-Cord and Nicky Hilton, was featured in the documentary It Girls, filmed during New York Fashion Week. In 2004, her Beverly Hills home was burglarized while she was at an MTV after-party, and she accused Playboy Playmate Nicole Lenz of being involved.
Back in New York, her parents grew concerned about her partying and alleged substance use. Sale and Woody Johnson flew to Los Angeles to stage an intervention, hoping she would check into rehab. Casey rejected their help, reportedly telling her mother, "I don't need any help. I'm sorry you wasted a trip." After this, Woody essentially washed his hands of her.
In January 2006, Casey, her boyfriend John Dee, and her aunt Elizabeth "Libet" Johnson traveled to Cambodia to visit Sovann Komar, the orphanage Libet founded in 2003. Soon after, Casey broke up with Dee but grew suspicious of his relationship with her aunt, eventually sending Libet an email accusing her of having an affair. The situation escalated when private emails between Libet and Dee were leaked to Page Six. Casey fueled the scandal with biting comments to the press, infuriating her father. By March 2006, Woody cut her off financially, ending her trust fund worth millions.
Through the chaos, Casey yearned for stability and decided she wanted a child. Her mother, Sale, strongly objected, telling her, "You don't have your own life together. How are you going to keep track of somebody else's life? This is not a puppy that, if it doesn't work out, you can give to a friend." Despite this, in 2007, Casey adopted a baby girl from Kazakhstan, naming her Ava-Monroe in honor of Marilyn Monroe. Kathy Hilton organized her baby shower, and Nicky Hilton was named godmother.
Still estranged from her father, Casey flew to New York in 2008 with Ava, hoping to reconcile. Instead, she was met by Woody's wife, Suzanne Ircha, who reportedly told her, "This is my house, so leave." A heated exchange followed, police were called, and Woody himself demanded Casey "never come back."
By 2009, Casey's life unraveled further. Her toxic relationship with socialite Courtenay Semel was plagued by fights—one reportedly so violent that Semel set Casey's hair on fire. That summer, Casey returned to heavy partying, worrying her mother. In August, she was hospitalized for complications from diabetes worsened by substance abuse. Her daughter Ava was eventually placed in the care of family friend Kim Richards, which infuriated Casey.
By late 2009, her health, finances, and mental state were deteriorating. Her home in Los Angeles was described by one source as "like Grey Gardens"—dirty dishes everywhere, rotting food, graffiti on the walls, and a swamp-like pool. In November, she attempted suicide by overdosing on pills but survived after hospitalization. Soon after, she was arrested for grand theft after breaking into her friend Jasmine Lennard's home.
Her downward spiral continued. Feeling betrayed by Semel, she turned to Tila Tequila, who soon announced their engagement with a 17-carat ring—allegedly the same fake one Casey had once given Semel. Their relationship was short-lived and chaotic. On January 4, 2010, Casey Johnson was found dead by her housekeeper. The official cause of death was diabetic ketoacidosis. She was just 30 years old and was laid to rest on January 12 at Trinity-All Saints' Cemetery in Princeton, New Jersey.
After Casey's death, Sale and her then-husband, Ahmad Rashad, obtained custody of Casey's daughter, Ava.
Sale Johnson passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 73
