Interview # 029418
Interrogation of Jung Hoseok
10 Hours till 48 hour stature of Limitation
âHoseok I wonât say this again. If you confess now weâll go easy on you! I Promise! But If you continue to hold out, Youâll force my hand!â
You scream, throwing the file of crime scene photos on to the table next to his restrained hands. Three gruesome pictures of young girls hogged tied and strangled to death. The look in his eyes seemed off, as if his soul had left his body.
After the first 12 hours, he was smiling and cooperative. He would give small spurts of giggles when a question that sounded a little odd was presented. He genuinely seemed like a sweet guy. His physical description seemed to fit that of the assailant people had been describing and he did work in a flower shop where a rare breed of lavender that was planted on the victim was available. That store seemed to be the only place to sell it in the city. We questioned everyone. Continuously asking for who may have purchased the flowers, he seemed as if he couldnât have done something as grotesque as these crimes. But when asked about a crime that happened in his hometown, just 10 years ago, he froze. It was as if his soul had been sucked out of his body but the reaper himself, as he mouthed her name repeatedly.
âLeenaâŚ.Leena⌠LeenaâŚâ He continued to repeat. The life slowly draining from his eyes, as they were replaced by a dark ora, creeping into his dilated pupils.
âHoseok?â You call to him but he seems to be in his own little world. He was scratching his arms, rubbing his thumbs in circular formations on his biceps, repeating her name. âWHO IS LEENA!â You yell. Throwing the papers on to the table in a loud clap, he froze. His dark eyes trained on you. âWHO THE FUCK CARES!â His voice breaking you from your cold demeanor, making you stumble back a bit. You hadnât expected this side of Hoseok, since he was so sweet and cooperative before. But this was someone else and you werenât sure who you were talking to anymore.
The shackles on his hands rattled as he guided his hands up and down his arms in a soothing motion. âYou have nothing, own nothing, are nothing to me. Must you have me chained like a fucking animal? Youâre not scared of me yetâŚBut you should be.â His voice was deeper then before and you were beginning to get the idea that this was no longer the sweet boy that worked in a flower shop.
                         Killerâs POV
We met at the shop. Oh how her luxurious blond hair glows in the sunlight, looks like a golden river flowing peacefully down her back. Rapunzel would have a run for her money with this one. She has a radiance to her, a kind of happiness that people wouldâŚ.kill for. Sheâs stopped here twice within the last few days asking people for their names and for some odd reason, just to buy lilacs. She must really love lavender scented things.
Perhaps she would like one that we gathered from the west. We had it sent in especially for someone but I think it would better suit some one of her beauty. Her green eyes playfully dance in my direction multiple times before we lock eyes and shy away like two bashful children. Perhaps she would like to play with me, become part of my collection.
I grabbed the Angel White lilacs from the vase and take my leave towards her. She looked so please to see me, I could feel it from across the room. So much love coursing in her veins, it was almost hard for me to want her for my collection but still I press forward to her.
âHello, do you need help with something?â I asked. Trying to be as warm as she was. âNo just looking around. I just moved into the neighborhood. I love flowers so i visit all the flower shops. I think itâs important to get to know my neighborhood and the people in it, You know? My name is KristyâŚand yours?â She reached out her hand towards mine. I wanted to pull her into an embrace so passionately but i refrained. only shaking her hand briefly.
â My name is⌠ Well that doesnât really matter right now. Itâs whatever you want it to be beautiful.â I laughed at my own joke awkwardly. âThen Iâll call you⌠Angel. Like my favorite flower.â Her smile was blinding.  âUm.. Would you like these? These kind of remind me of you. I think they fit you rather nicely.â Smiling, I handed her the Lilac flowers. She was in awe. Her smile had such a glow, is radiated warmth within the store. âThank you so much! THESE ARE THE EXACT FLOWER I JUST MENTIONED⌠howâd you know?â Her voice was so soft and angelic, I could listen to it all day.
âI guess I could just tellâŚA few friends of mine are getting together tonight⌠At the bridge. I was wondering, if maybe⌠you werenât to busy later⌠maybeâŚYou would want to go with me?â I stuttered. I wonder if she noticed. âOh⌠Well I have some homework to attend toâŚbut should I get it done early. I would love to.â
She accepted the bait. How foolish she was. A beautiful girl like this, I would think she would ask more questions, but than again, Romance always seems to tickle a womanâs fancy. We exchanged one of my many numbers and just like thatâŚshe was gone. I had a lot of preparation I must attend toâŚfor the events that will transpire later will beâŚspectacular.
          11:36 pm The Bridge.
I waited, quietly twisting the Lavender in my black leather gloves. The sun had set and She had confirmed she would be on her way to see little olâ me. I must say this was probably going to be my favorite event of the year. Today was the day of the Lanterns. Where the people of the city came to the bridge to release hundreds of lanterns with hopes, prayers, and dreams for the living and the dead. But what better way to go then to be looking at the lights as they float between this world and the next.  Ahh.. just the thought of it⌠Makes my heart flutter in ways Iâve never felt before.
âUmmm excuse me?â Her sweet voice rang out from behind me. I laughed. She was so naive to come, but even more to come alone. âHello my sweet, are you ready for the lights?â I smiled as she took a seat next to me. âSounds so romantic. Where are all of your friends?â she smiled, letting the cold water on the shore brush against her feet. She didnât seem bothered by it at all. âAhh those guys. They seemed to have left me for recreational festivities. It looks like youâll be stuck with me for the night. That isnât a problem is it?â I asked out of sheer concern but then again, I knew what was coming next for her. âOf course not. I would have preferred it this way anyways.â her laugh graced my ears. The sweet sound of her voice. I want it! I NEED IT.
i giggled intently, scratching at the back of my neck.  âDid you not invite anyone? Do your parents know where you are?â I needed to know what exactly were her last steps, last people she contacted. I had to make sure. âI live alone. Study most of the time. I donât really go out much and my family isnât from this part of town. Itâs just me. Iâve never seen the lights before. My mom use to tell me stories before she died. I use to dream of seeing them up close.â She gave me a reassuring nod before swiping the hair out of her face and behind her ear. The sadness in her eyes⌠was mesmerizing. âWell at least you have me tonight. We should get a better look before the lights go. I hope it is everything youâve dreamed of.â I got up and she wasnât to far behind. She gave me a peck on the cheek before taking a few steps in front of me walking towards the bridge.
Now was the perfect time. Reaching out I covered her mouth with one hand, a rag of chloroform in my palm, pulling her into my chest, she looked at me. Eyes full of terror and regret. She pulled at my arms frantically, trying to tug away from my pry on her throat. âScream for me my sweet.â I laughed as her eyes began to flutter, her body going limp in my arms. The lanterns were released and the lights began to fill the dark sky. The reflections beaming against the water. Her breathing became sporadic, she was heaving, pulling at my hands as best as she could. Pulled closely to my chest, I rested my head upon hers, rocking her gently. âMy love you have been chosen, with a voice like an angel and a smile of gold, you are a memory of which I will hold, for the lights in the sky, resonate deep in my heart, a beauty like yours will remain, till death do we part.â Her arms dropped and her eyes fluttered one last time before she was completely inert. âIâm sure you enjoyed the lights. They were beautiful werenât they my sweet?â I asked petting her head before laying her down beneath my feet. âTill death do us part, My beautiful LeenaâŚâ
9.5 Hours till stature of limitationÂ
âTELL ME THE TRUTH HOSEOK!â Â You couldnât hold your composure any longer. You straddled his waist gripping his face between your palms. He had been staring at the floor for the past 20 minutes. You were beginning to loose it when you thought of using your sex appeal to possibly get him to react. He looked you in your eyes, lowering his guard ever so slightly. He seemed shocked that you would go to such lengths to get a confession out of him, but then again others have used worse methods to coheres a confession.
He was face to face with you, hand pressed against his chest still in shackles. âI canât help you if you donât help me. I want to help youâŚbut without that confession⌠My hands are tied.â You tried to soften your voice to make it more believable that you were here to help not to fight him.
âWell mine arenât.â he smiled. Showing you his hands that had been set free. He had spent the last 20 minutes of staring at the floor as a distraction to pick the locks on his chains. You jumped, startled you rushed to get off of his lap but he gripped your face, pulling you into a passionate kiss and pressing your back against the table. Shocked by his sudden actions you stood frozen, allowing his hands to explore your body. Reaching for your gun in your hip holster, he placed his hand on yours. Both gripping at the gun, he bit your neck harshly, causing you to jump.
âAh ah ah not so fast _______, I know you. Better than you think. Youâre from Busan, a small time fisherâs daughter, you went to all the right schools, got all the good grades you could. Failed your ASCT tests more then 4 times. Now youâre  working as a small time detective because the FBI didnât want you. Not married, No boyfriend or children, You have a dog, a shiba, Charlie. He's 3. You live alone, no family and possibly one friend. I know all about you my sweet. I know everything.â His laugh was low, almost purr like in your ear. He slipped his fingers of his free hand down your neck, gracing your chest to your waist and past the button of your black pants. Gripping your seamless panties and rubbing circles above your entrance, his breathing became grunts in your ears. You froze, you didnât want to admit it but you were terrified. How could he have known all of this about you. Had he been watching you for longer than you knew about him?
âI had always been two steps ahead of you. I must admit, Iâve always wanted to be this close to you. Inside of you⌠This wasnât the right moment I had waited for but it will do. I just want to taste you. Just once.â He whispered into your ear as he pushed his fingers past your folds and into you. You clenched the gun harder and so did he. He pumped his fingers inside of you a few times before pulling them out, slowly bringing the two digits close to his lips and into his mouth.
âMmmmmm Just what i had imagined. You taste wonderful darlingâŚâ His smile was sinister. âYou are one⌠sick⌠bastard.â You pulled back, rolling over the table, out of his grip and drawing your gun. You pointed it straight at him, the sights set for between his eyes. âYou donât look like youâre in the right state of mind to be wielding that weapon _______, you should put it down and let me finish what you started.â
âWHAT I STARTED?!â You yelled, breathing labored. âNo one told you  to straddle me. Did you really think you would get me to confess with that method? sweetieâŚ.Nice tryâŚâ He was gloating beyond any suspect you had ever interrogated. You were bothered. somewhere stuck between fear and feeling a small sense of sexual frustration between the two of you. He was a criminal, a killer, and he used his charming looks to his advantage.
âI AM NOT AFRAID TO PULL THIS FUCKING TRIGGER. DONâT TRY MEâŚI will if I have to.â
âYou wanna nail me? Then you better get your story straight bitch! Because I aint telling you a goddamn thing.â He smiled.
He sat back in his chair, legs spread apart in a comfortable position as he tossed his head back to let out a chuckle. You only had 9 hours left. Maybe there was something you could dig up that would make him talk. Till then, he was just sitting pretty, twirling a daisy between is fingers.  âoh trust meâŚI will.â
