I don't know if anyone's interested but I just finished my carrd where I put Cas' whole backstory + worldbuilding tidbits into writing so the info can be found in one place💪

To lrt, for whoever’s curious, I wanted to add that Cas will never be “fixed”, not in any sense, but especially not when it comes to his ED and his odd obsession (?) with physical appearance. Cas "liked" Gortash because, to him, Gortash embodied everything Cas would rather die than allow himself to be... uncaring about his body, ungroomed etc. Just existing in a way that, to Cas, felt almost forbidden? to like, something he shouldn’t desire because it clashed with his own worldview of what makes someone high value

Cas has STILL (and mind you at this point they’ve known each other for almost 10 years) never let Gortash see him eat and he never will. Cas would quite frankly kill himself before letting himself gain even a single pound of body fat, because to him, that’s moral failure. Me saying he's fatphobic is not just about teasing or whatever, its actually deeper and really internalized

And then there’s the feedism aspect of course, which tbh only feeds into it more too. Cas just works out his own issues through Gortash. He’s attracted to him being fat yes, both because it’s Gortash but also *because* he finds it disgusting, and that contradiction is what drew him in in the first place anyways, if that makes sense

yeah! I used to say closest fit would be Troy Baker as Batman in that telltale game however recently it dawned on me that the bearded guy from that fucking twunk porn scene is . horrendously accurate . you know, this one

yes he does actually, but honestly it‘s not the biggest issue he has with it because the scars that he has from losing his wings constantly ache which yknow…. somewhat takes away from the phantom pain😩

Basically Cas lost his wings before he was remade/rebirthed on the material plane, but to his surprise the wound stayed exactly the same. It neither vanished to leave him wingless forever but it also did not bring his wings back. He brought it up to Yoziel when he met him again one time, who then implied that devils don‘t lose limbs the way that ”inferior species“ would because their bodies expect the limbs to be returned one way or another (usually by their bodies being remade in the depths of the nine hells themselves if they were granted the honor), leaving them in more of a permanent wound state that just heals on the surface layer
