Caryatis is a study of Greek womenâs traditional costumes deriving from different periods in the countryâs rich history. This project evolved out of Tatakisâs previous work, Ethos, which looked at Greek traditions and customs. Each photograph is meticulously staged; postures, attitudes and even hand placements depicted are all typical of the area from which the costume originates
