In an effort to encourage our male students to stay focused and mentally strong as they go through this year's string of FSA tests, we will be hosting Carver Middle School's first ever Dudes ‘N’ Donuts. It will be the morning of Thursday 4/26. All of the boys will be inviting the positive role models in their lives. Unfortunately, some of them won’t have anyone to attend or invite. Not once did he ask me what I was going to teach the kids. Instead, he let me talk about Miles Davis & John Coltrane. I let the kids listen to vinyl records and discussed the importance of music to our culture. We debated about the economics of sneakers and even did the Soul Train line.
