Carousel
After researching some existing carousels I began to experiment with how I wanted mine to look. I particularly was fond of the idea of having a mixture of photography, type across two artboards and black and white typefaces within my carousel.
to begin with I wanted to consider how I would want my typeface to be used in context. personally, I wanted my typeface to be used in feminine skincare or jewellery and it shows a sense of beauty as well as class.
Once I had come to this conclusion I began to consider what kind of photography I wanted to include within the design. I went onto pexels.com and typed in femine and a wide selection of photography appeared. The ones that stood out the most to me was the ones that shown in the designs as they show a very intimate and sensual which shows simple beauty.
Once I was happy with the photography I moved onto the composition of the typeface. I began with showing the name of the typeface on the beginning slide so that it is the first thing the audience is greeted by. I then wanted to show that the typeface can be used in a range of different sizes, therefore I decided to shrink it down and also blow it up across two artboards.
Unfortunately I forgot to screenshot as I went through the design of the carousel, however I did experiment with the placement of the type within the frame.

This is the last post that I found inspiring and that was due to the use of how they have used mock ups that include their typeface. I think this is a very successful way of promoting their typeface as it helps give the audience a look into how their design could be used within a project.

Carousel Design Inspiration
out of all of the designs I have found inspiring this one is the one that stands out the most for me. I especially like how the designer has incoporated very soft, and clean photography in the background of their work. I also like how they have used a mixture of both black and white coloured typography to show that their typeface can be used in both colours. I think that moving forward this type pot carousel would work very well with my typeface as it closely resembles my poster.

Carousel Design Inspiration
This post is inspiring to me as I like how the designer has merged two of the artboards together so that when you scroll through the type design flows effortlessly. I also like how she has kept the design simple by having one character per board and also included only the one photograph.
Margot.Leveque (2021) Some of you ask me how I find inspiration to design a typeface. I always have found inspiration outside: in a street, on a mailbox, on a billboard, or even a bench (Marya🤍). I love to design with instinct. I’ve have never forced myself to draw on my computer with an inspiration that already exists on internet. Of course, it is not really from scratch. But I think that if today you like my fonts (and thank you again for that), it's precisely because you feel that the creations come from deep inside me. Type design is a wonderful discipline that I'm still waiting to discover more. I'm only at the beginning of my apprenticeship and I'm surprised day after day by its complexity and how slow the process is. Do the test: let your files rest for 2-3 weeks and come back to it. All of a sudden, everything will sound very obvious :) (Thanks Dinamo ;) Take your time, to the rhythm of nature. You'll see, that's how you'll make the difference. Carousel Design Inspiration
This design is inspiring to me due to the use of the photography and the mock ups that are included throughout. I also find the use of different colours very intriguing and I feel that it fits well with the stye of the typeface shown.
Pangram.Pangram (2021) Eiko is an indisputable statement of elegance and refinement. Every curves and bezier points was applied with a sense of purpose. This upcoming【free-to-try】typeface is inspired by the work of Eiko Ishioka, a multitalented japanese artist, this typeface seeks to convey the same aspect of her work in these typographic explorations. Is an original serif font with high contrast, including the syllable alphabet kana, hiragana + katakana, it is ideal to pair with other kanji fonts of the Japanese mincho style. Carousel Design Inspiration
For the last section of this project we have to create a carousel for an instagram post. To look for inspiration I had a look through my feed and found a few designs that I liked.
The reason why I was inspired by the design shown above was the fact that they have kept the same composition however, they have changed the colour of the type and the background. this helps show to the audience that the typeface can be used in different colours and how the use of the colour helps convey a different atmosphere.
the first design gives a playful atmosphere due to the use of multiple colours. The white and black slides make for a more sophisticated atmosphere.
