Hey Cassie! I just finished TLBOTW and I loved it:) Is there a scene/chapter that you particularly enjoyed writing? Also, my parents are both Chinese and I loved all the references to chinese mythology throughout the book! Even the small things, like when Yun told Simon that char siu is cantonese, made me smile— I love love all the references to chinese culture :)

i am so excited to see what the show does with lucien because a big plot hole is that he’s described as pale with red hair in the first 3 books, then magically becomes biracial in book 3. maybe they can use a glamour excuse, but still, what are they gonna do? cast a black/biracial actor to lightly cgi paler (and w more “white” features) until it’s revealed that helion is luciens dad? or do some blackface on a white actor after the reveal? whitewash helion? or write out that plot line completely? because no one is going to look at two pale red heads and go “yes, i believe that black/biracial man is their natural born, biological son”. this is so hilarious to me because some things you cannot get away with on screen
