canon and nikon cameras are both about equal, theres just slight pros and cons for each, like the nikon has a little miny torch kinda device on the front so that it can focus and set exposure in the dark, whereas the canon doesnt have this and sometimes wont take pictures in the dark. theres differences to do with the lenses but i dont really know too much about that, you can find out more on the internet im pretty sure :) ive used both canon and nikons, and personally i prefer canons cos i find them easy to use, but thats just me :)
