ETA: It's been pointed out (specifically here by cuppa-darjeeling and here by staysandstories) that it's far likelier that this dress is post-1795. Looking again, I agree, and I'm pretty ashamed I let the museum date stand in the first place.
Curaçao
The Queen Emma Bridge is a wooden pontoon bridge located Curaçao. It was originally constructed in 1888 and is still used today as a footbridge.
A pontoon bridge is actually a floating bridge which is supported by a hollow metal cylinder called a pontoon. Instead of drawing open to allow water traffic pass through, these bridges actually 'float' into an open position parallel to the shore and is powered by two diesel engine propellers.
