The 222 name indicated the 2 door body style, 2-litre engine displacement and 2nd step of the Biturbo evolution. As always the E was synonymous with Export model, hence the 2.8-litre engine instead of the 2.0-litre available for the Italian market.

Designed as a 2-door coupe version of the previous 1600 sedan model, the BMW 2002 was introduced at the 1968 Frankfurt Motor Show and soon became famous for its sportive looks and on-road capabilities. It later received a 3-door Touring body style and was available with two engines: the 2002ti 2.0L twin-carburetor unit delivering 120 bhp and the high-performance 2002tii 2.0L powerplant delivering an improved 130 bhp. This model went through 3 generations of updates throughout its 8 years of production, the most important restyling happening in 1973 with the introduction of newly-designed front grille, revamped headlights and improved trim levels. Production of this model was ceased in 1975, making room for the brand new 3 Series.

BMW introduced the new 507 TS Roadster in 1955, at New York. Based on the BMW 501/502 saloon models, this new convertible was designed to challenge Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz on the sports car market. It featured a shorter chassis as compared to the BMW 503 and benefited from a bodywork completely hand-made out of aluminium. The novelty about this 507 Roadster was that every single bodywork was unique and no rooftop would match any other body style. The engine itself featured lightweight components, the aluminium-alloy 3.2L V8 unit delivering up to 160 hp while mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This model was discontinued in 1959 due to financial problems from the German manufacturer. Only 252 units were assembled throughout its 4 years of production.

The NISMO version was introduced for the 2009 year model. The engine produces 350 hp (260 kW) at 7,400 RPM and 276 lb·ft (374 N·m) at 5,200 RPM with revised ECU settings and exhaust setup. Transmission choice is limited to a 6-speed manual with Nissan's new "SynchroRev Match" function. Handling is improved via stiffened springs and stabilizer bars compared to the 370Z Coupe. Other equipment includes 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels with Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated tires (P245/40ZR19 front, P285/35ZR19 rear), 14.0-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors, NISMO Sport Brakes with 4-piston front and 2-piston rear aluminum calipers, and a fully integrated chin spoiler.

Chronologically, this was the last version of the Lancia Beta to hit the streets. Also designed by Pininfarina this car had the added bonus of being built by the famous designer's studio. The funny thing with this car is that while in prototype stage, it was supposed to be a Fiat, a successor to the Bertone. However, the car retained much of the Beta's bodywork. There were two generations made with a 2 year gap between them. Totally, some 7595 Montecarlos were built.
