When One of Us is Dead – starter for karakurastrawberry
Aizen was only on the battlefield because Ichigo had begged him to help the soul society. He had been able to successfully negotiate a treaty with the Wandenreich and it had held up until a small string of incidents between shinigami aggressors and Soldat victims had brought them back to war. In all honesty the brown haired soul king was completely fed up with the xenophobia, racism and stubbornness of the soul reapers.
Honestly he had instructed them to treat them as equals and certain elements had taken that as what not to do at all costs and had treated them like dirt, figuring that doing anything that he told them not to was a noble thing to do as he was an Evil Bastard and besides it wasn’t like the Quincy were a match for them? After all they had been defeated a thousand years ago by the soul society.
But his sweet Ichigo had begged him to save the soul society – yes some elements were atrociously dumb and the Quincy would eventually calm down but that could lead to a great deal of destruction and death by people who were largely innocent and a lot more bloodshed and bitterness between the two races to deepen much further.
With a small amount of grumbling he had sent the zero division out, following closely behind with Ichigo by his side. They had gotten separated during the battle and the brunet froze as he felt his husband’s spiritual pressure drop to almost nothing.
Panic filled his mind as he tried to find where the other was, but as he flash-stepped towards where he had last sensed his lover a dark haired teenager in the pristine uniform of a Stern Ritter appeared, and he was smirking.
“Greetings, Soul King. I have killed your husband.” Uryuu smirked viciously, his blue eyes full of malice.
“Why…why would you do such a thing?” Aizen asked, eyes darkening a little “You and he were friends, yes?”
“I was sent to Karakura Town as a spy for His Majesty, to see if there were any souls worth recruiting. Unfortunately Kurosaki and the others were tainted by the soul reapers before I had a chance to tell them anything.” Uryuu responded, voice haughty. “What will you do now, soul king? I have killed your lover and the Soul Society will fall before us.”
The other’s words caused a red haze to fill Sousuke’s vision and his reiastsu spiked tremendously, washing over everyone in a fifty mile radius of pain-sadness-rage as his violet spiritual pressure enveloped his body, the hogyouku set within his chest sparkling and shining a blinding white.
When the light died down the sight of something that only three people had seen before was on display. Aizen’s hair flowed down to his waist, except for the curl, but it too had gotten longer. Three sets of white butterfly wings with swallow tails on the lower halves of the sets, and when his eyes opened it was silver on purple. “Then it will be you who I kill first, you pathetic mortal.” No one around him could sense the Soul King’s spiritual pressure, but it was obvious as he ever so casually laid his hands on the oddly-frozen Quincy that he had spiritual pressure.
Uryuu’s clothes faded away to nothing at the touch, and a couple seconds after that his skin – the raven haired teen started screaming as Aizen continued to touch the other with deceptive gentleness; a pat on the shoulder, a ruffle of the other’s (now gone and leaving a bloody scalp behind) hair. He lightly flicked the other square in the chest and the young Stern Ritter went flying through a dozen buildings.
Aizen vanished in a sparkle of violet reishi before reappearing with a writhing and screaming Ishida Uryuu in his hands as the other’s clothes and body was crumbling at the mere touch of the furious Soul King. “Do you see the difference now, mortal trash? Between yourself and Kurosaki? Between yourself and I?”
