Photo shoots are always high-energy and take a lot of focus, and now, especially, it requires a lot of concentration. It’s been at least a month between first coming here and Akechi helping to set her up with a modeling agency (she was still kind of floored that he went through that trouble for her), and it kind of showed. Especially lately, seeing how drained she was with everything that happened. But even still, she had a dream, and she wasn’t going to give up on it because she hit a rough patch. She couldn’t let this beat her. So even though she’d rather be home right now, she still puts on a bright smile, and switches from perky to demure at the behest of the photographer.Â
But all that grinds to a halt when she spots someone staring at her from across the street. A small crowd had already gathered around the camera crew to watch, but only one onlooker stood out to her. It couldn’t be...Â
“Hm? Something wrong, Ann?”Â
She doesn’t even look at the photographer as she confirms that yes, it is her friend. And suddenly nothing else matters.Â
“S-sorry, I need to take a quick break.” She mumbles before hurrying away, not waiting to hear a response. Not that it actually garnered more than a few sympathetic glances. This sort of occurrence was really common for Riftlings, after all.Â
“Hey!” Ann frantically waves her arms as she dashes across the street. “Yusuke-kun! It is you, right?”
