revolution calling [Leijiverse RP; closed]

There had been no quarter when their colony had been overrun. In the days, weeks and months after the great reveal that humanity and the war that had been fought decades earlier, had been covered up like a farce, people across the decaying colonies that remained grew agitated, angry. Were they to abandon themselves to a crooked government still? Were their livelihoods still so meaningless now that they had to abandon the frontier? They were made to believe that space, the cosmos--was an empty shell! It was time to retreat, there was nothing for their people beyond their solar system and what few colonies still remained prosperous.
But that too had been a lie. And many were outraged. People like her, and her family, who had been told they had to evacuate their homes--now resisted. Some were complacent or didn't care that the Earth was a twisted mess, but many were not. What was there to believe?Â
Skye tilted her head back against the cold wall of her prison. Now she was here, and what good had come from it all? She wanted to cry but no tears came.Â
Gaia Sanction. What a damn joke! Liars, murderers--they were doing anything to keep the restless and the discontent under their heel now. Her people of their colony rose up against their falsehoods, and were squashed. She wondered if other outposts of humanity had been luckier than her own. Or had they too been taken away in a Gaia ship to what would be the final resting place: a prison facility on some forsaken world where many criminals and disturbers of the peace were tossed to rot?
Honestly she thought they were going to be executed; they had committed some form of treason hadn't they? Just like that one man and his crew--Captain Harlock. But Gaia had failed. And now that man and his ship still roamed the Sea of Stars, forever a thorn in the government's side.
Good. At least he'll succeed in doing that, unlike her and her compatriots who now also sat in their cells. Now they were on borrowed time, their fates to be decided by Gaia.
It was then that a group of Gaia soldiers, suited up and armed, came down from an above stairwell and told the guards within the brig to start moving it. Something was happening and all hands were necessary. Skye opened her eyes and inched forward slightly, as if to get a better view of what was going on beyond the threshold of her cell.
All the guards left and there was silence. It was peaceful, for a time, and then it started to happen! There was some shaking, noises that sounded far off--canon fire? When she felt the ship start to keel that's when she knew something was going very wrong. One of the other prisoners was beginning to freak out.
Something was happening to the Naiad. Skye began to piece it all together--were they under attack?!
