Hey, just wanna say, I’m not ignoring this, this is actually something I’ve been thinking *a lot about* since you sent it, haha. I’ve got a ton of feelings about ways to approach getting into this, especially since I think the Predator in general already evokes thoughts/vibes in people immediately (even if they haven’t even really watched the movies) that I feel like should be sidestepped a tiny bit. The comics can really do that, and I’ve been kinda thinking through but also talking to people about my feelings on it, and what might be good places for people to step in. Especially since what I kind of want to do is give an entry point to folks whose interest in the Predator comics/books are coming from what I’ve been writing! A lot of that sensibility comes from short stories that are different than a lot of the other comics within the series. The cool thing about Predator is that there’s so many ways to interpret these guys, and tons of different stories and approaches you could potentially take to them. A lot of stories hit up on what you expect, just a ton of gore and machismo (which can be a lot of fun), but I kinda wanna hilight different stuff? YEAH I THINK ABOUT THIS A LOT. My interest in Yautja is not really like...the same as a lot of the main fandom around this property. So I don’t even know if my approach/interest would be the best one when recommending stuff to new readers, but... It’s what folks will get! This is what you get when you ask ME! But it’s fun! Also you’re in luck, because the Predator stories are not like cape comics, and each story is kind of self-contained and doesn’t often reference previous stories or arcs. Some do that I like, but most of those even so don’t require deep knowledge, so... it’s relatively easy to jump in to, and you don’t even need to read or LIKE a lot of the other stuff. Which is sometimes trash!!! SO UH...Idk when I’ll get to compiling and posting, but just a heads up! I hate thinking that my inability to keep up with my ask box potentially would make people feel like I’m ignoring all of it. I’m not!!! PROMISE!
