My prediction for ep. 12 Rescue On Ryloth
Hi, hello, greetings, welcome, prepare for pain.
So I know a lot of people (me included) have been dreading tomorrow’s episode on the potential threat of Crosshair being the one to kill Hera’s parents, and that is definitely still on the table. But what if we get something good, but the death of Eleni and Cham is infinitely worse than we predicted?
So something about SW is that things across the various media rhyme (words, phrases, situations, etc. are used to compare/contrast different characters/situation) and this can happen within the same work. I bring this up because for some reason I’m getting the sort of vibes I got from ep. 7 Battle Scars.
In that episode, a reg clone (Rex), whom we as the audience trust meets the Batch and we know everything will be fine because he doesn’t have a chip anymore. Later on, Wrecker’s chip activates but disaster is averted thanks to Rex (the reg).
So what if it seems like everything will be fine, the reg (Captain Howzer-more-like-Wowzer-amiright) seems like he’ll save Hera and the day while the clone with the activated chip (Crosshair) is on everybody’s tail.
Then Howzer is given the order.
Howzer, who the Syndulla’s seem to really trust, executes Eleni and Cham in front of Hera. He isn’t the hero like Rex (whom a lot of us have been comparing him to) and maybe Crosshair pulls his shots at the batch like in ep. 8 Reunion and he actually gets saved by doing that (like Wrecker getting stunned by Rex before killing Omega) because Chopper gets a go at him in typical Chopper style. Maybe he directly stuns him, or maybe he sabotages something, either way he’s unconscious and the batch are dragging him and a hysterical Hera onto the Marauder and getting away.
After this they meet up with Rex again, because they have a traumatized child who needs to be kept away from the Empire at all costs (ie, hidden in the resistance), and a murderous brother that needs an urgent chip removal.
