A tiny drabble for Jim Ward (RIP the Qwarktastic legend)
Ratchet felt this odd pull to go to Umbris. Sure, he remembered the death trap that was Quark's HQ, turrets, mines, and how could he forget that Blargian Snagglebeast that he was forced to fight?
Nevertheless, it did make for a good obstacle course every once in a while. With practices ease, he shot down the turrets with devastator, blew up the mines with his pistol, and hopped over the gunfire in order to smack the machine guns off.
After the third set of buttons, he was about to unlock the fourth when he paused for a quick second. He remembered there was a life-sized statue of him, and it used to remind him of the time that he was betrayed by the very idol he looked up to. Now... There was a note of sadness.
"Ratchet?" Clank asked.
"yeah?"
"Are you alright?"
"Just... Lost in nostalgia."
It was still hard to believe Quark was gone.
He continued on, making is way up to the pools where the piranagators were.
Not exactly happy with this one but, but needed to get it out.
