Commander Sil is known to be very strict and serious. He’s good at what he does and he knows it- everyone knows it. But, contrary to the persona he puts on, his name is actually short for “Silly.” He got it as a cadet- turns out painkillers make him just a liiiitle bit loopy. And, unfortunately for him, his now-CMO was there to witness the whole thing. But Sil knows he won’t spill- Bubbles knows just as well as him the kind of blackmail Sil has against him. Sil is excellent at blackmail. If he wasn’t a Commander, he would have done great as an intelligence officer.

Captain Badger didn’t start out as a Captain- he came to the 193rd as a Lieutenant, but was promoted to take the place of a Captain who’d fallen in battle. He’s head over heels for their General, Adai Na’Kala, and Adai isn’t any better. Commander Sil is endlessly exhausted by the two of them, but he can’t deny that they’re very good at their jobs. Other than simply after his General, Badger likes to spend his time meticulously caring for his hair and making sure their troopers are up to par. He loves leading training sessions, and though he’s generally easygoing, he holds his soldiers to high standards.

My last line was for a sketch of Adai and Badger I was working on last night! I will admit that it’s mostly traced, but I was too eepy to attempt to draw the pose myself 😅

When starting out with the 193rd I knew one thing- the General and Commander were not going to be in love, because I thought it’d be really funny for Sil to be so exasperated by all his fellow Commanders falling head over heels for their Jedi. And then enter Badger. He was just a Lieutenant when he came to the 193rd, and the first time he and Adai met in person was on the battlefield. After a quick introduction, Adai asked Badger if he wanted to help zir with an insane plane, and of course Badger agreed. The plan went off without a hitch, though there was a very big explosion

Immediately after that battle Adai decided that Badger was Zir Favorite Ever and promoted him to Captain for his bravery (and willingness to go along with zir on-the-fly-insanity).

Now, here’s the thing- they’re both very smart. Adai seems reckless, but ze thinks every decision through before making it. Ze knows exactly what zir doing at all times. Ze’s just fucking Insane and Badger is so Down Bad that he follows that insanity without question. These two are so devoted to each other and Badger trusts zir so much and just *muffled screeching*

Some backstory for Adai- ze was not found in the traditional way. Adai was born in the Outer Rim- conceived from a one-night stand her mother, a poor Stewjoni waitress, had with a Cathar who was long-gone by the time she learned of the pregnancy. She died when Adai was about 5, and Adai, in zir insane but genius little kid brain, followed the tugging of the Force and somehow managed to — after hopping around a couple planets by stowing away on ships — find Jedi Master Sen Casen, was on a solo mission. Ze immediately proceeded to attach zirself to him, and Master Casen was so confused and intrigued by this small feral child that he adopted zir on the spot and whisked zir back to the Temple on Coruscant. So of course, once ze was old enough, he took zir as on his padawan.

Badger had the highest scores in his batch back on Kamino, and the confidence to match. Not to mention that he’s fucking feral. Not as much as his General, but pretty close. He prefers dual pistols to a blaster rifle, and while he isn’t a sniper, he’s one hell of a shot. He’s got a sharp grin that Adai adores, and a soft smile that’s reserved just for zir. He meticulously maintains his mohawk (yes he has hair products) and delights in helping Adai tame zir mane (which is always a tangled mess). As soon as he get his fingers in zir hair ze melts into a purring puddle and it’s adorable.
