I’m kinda surprised at how ok I was with her doing what she did regarding Az. I guess I just think she’s not having an easy time, she’s not just thinking “meh, I’ll tell him next week”. I know you aren’t saying she is saying that. But I think the fandom tends to have unrealistically high standards about how people actually handle themselves in stressful or uncertain situations. And I’m pretty forgiving of that? People can be weak and petty and shitty and not intend to be that way.

It sucks that her moment was over-shadowed for some people by the fact that she isn’t handling the Az situation in the best way. (For me, it’s not my first thought with that scene.) In fact, she’s handling it in a pretty crappy way. But this is also the problem with the fandom basically idolizing her before. It’s not ever going to be true that a character handles themselves flawlessly in every situation. Or if they do, they are a shit character who would never exist in the real world.

I think that this hurt him a lot, but also he does bear some responsibility in either confronting her or moving on and basically taking care of his own needs as well? It has been so long, he is really observant and intelligent, he must know. I understand him not being able to just... stop feeling what he feels. But also it’s just making it so awkward and icky for both of them.

And that was super passive aggressive on Mor’s part, and it makes me wonder how many other times she has done something similar to Az in the past. It also makes me wonder what he has done that made her so uncomfortable telling him the truth. Because I get the impression that Cassian knows, based on the taking the dress right off of Nesta’s body comment. But also he isn’t sure of their status (based on Wings and Embers) and so maybe not? I just think that Mor doesn’t see Cassian as being... threatening in the same way? Not that Az would intentionally hurt Mor, but I’m seeing her awareness of him in very different ways, now. Because she has to measure every interaction they have, pretty much, to calculate the message she is sending him. Which... actually puts a completely different and weird and awkward spin on everything they have ever done in front of Feyre and I kind-of wish I hadn’t thought it.

I will! I mean, I already did - I wrote a glimpse of their life five years later (their five year wedding anniversary actually), which, I think, fits in just fine with how the show turned out overall, but at some point I may get inspired and write more. ;) Would appreciate prompts tho lol.
