anyone else see this guy when they look at caprans
Some doodles from todayâs stream (13th Jan). Mostly just lines and colours practice. Trying to decide whether I should go for that rough inked look. Itâs very defined, compared to just pencil, but I do wonder if my backgrounds will be too soft by contrast. Oh well, I had some fun anyway. ft. @theongoingplagueâs warforged gladiator character Trauma. (top left) Go and follow them if you donât already. :)
Another midtone doodle before I head to work. This time, itâs Vicent charging in to battle, wielding a Ranyali pike. Heâs treating it like a sword, still. Anger makes you reckless, huh. Someoneâs gonna get hurt, either way.
A photo Grae keeps in his pocket when heâs out on a job. Sometimes itâs nice to keep a reminder of whatâs waiting for you at home. Niako is Graeâs husband, a Qinatan (more âwarlikeâ and honour-bound race similar to the Aratan) immigrant. Heâs an inventor, tinkerer and all-round sweetheart who helped Grae through some rough times in his early twenties. Heâs a 2nd generation immigrant, so heâs had plenty of time to adjust to the Aratan way of life. Alixander is their adoptive son, a Capran orphan Grae stumbled across during a delivery run. At first, they spent a while trying to find Alixâs parents, but when it became apparent that they were nowhere to be found, they decided to raise him. Grae and Niako try not to let their ignorance of Capran culture get in the way of anything. They try their best, but Alix doesnât really care too much for the finer points of his ancestry. Heâs usually preoccupied with spinning around really fast or prowling for sweets.

One does not simply WALK in to a Capran fiesta! Hereâs Vicent dragging a reluctant Ral to the torch-lit festival. She doesnât seem impressed by his two-step shuffle. Maybe after a few Cob-Pear Ciders sheâll loosen up a bit. For now, sheâs trying to maintain a stony demeanor. I also have a DeviantART: http://gallanthermit.deviantart.com
Look its Beatrix our little Capran friend
[This artwork is for a board game in development] Conscripts are the backbone of the Capran war effort. Two decades ago, when Allesio Kaldor seized Primarchship of the reborn Hethrell empire, Lucina feared that it was only a matter of time until the Hethrell invaded Caprinaria to reclaim their homeland. To ensure her people could protect themselves, she enacted the Citizen Soldier program. For one month each year all Caprans from the age of 8 years old working in non-vital industries are required to undergo military training under a Highbreedâs guidance. Conscripts usually operate in large herds that are condensed into smaller eight-Capran units. Their weapon of choice is the Hoofgun, a steam-powered wrist-mounted firearm that can be fired using their innate telekinesis.
