Confirmation from someone born and raised in petworth who’s gone to 6+ games a year for as long as I can remember: the caps might hate the flyers but we go fucking crazy when we play the pens. Every seat in Verizon is full and for away games every bar is packed. I went to games 5 & 7 this year and saw probably 4 fights in the audience each night, and a kid at my old high school got suspended when he beat up another kid who wore a pens shirt and said shit the next day. We REALLY hate the pens.
