Caou wolfmen regularly use livestock animals called jaou’an to trawl fish in shallow water. The leader of the group has a staff with a large hollow shell filled with beads to make sound and small reflective shells to guide their workers.

The Ama of the Weed Crowded Tide
Symbolic art of the leader or "Ama" of a Caou wolfman clan. This illustration depicts a headshot of the Ama himself the clan symbol and name along with relevant objects to himself and the clan.
More info on the background and my art process below.
A wolfmen from the Caou ethnicity showing off their tattoos. The tattoos are added as they age and often feature symbols of good luck or guidance.
Been thinking about how Wolfmen architecture developed based on location. Specifically in the Caou region that is mainly rocky shores and marshes / floodplains. The area has a lot of large islands and the Caou as a culture are dependent on the sea. On rocky cliffs more castle and fortress like houses are built due to the height preventing flooding. But in marshes houses are made on large stilts made of stone and brick. This carries over to pathways being elevated as well.
In large cities the stilts are taken to extremes with there being multiple layers of buildings and pathways. Accompanied with ladders and pulleys makes these cities almost impossible to traverse without a guide. The layers are often job based. Merchant stores, fish stores, post offices and ship makers. These make regular foot traffic and it is easier to revive stock and costumers. Pulleys are great but not for heavy boxes of supplies and food.
On the upper layers are homes and studios. Libraries, art studios, religious sectors, breweries and lighter cargo markets are found on the second layers. It’s the creative district of most cities with it being a lot more decorated. The last layer of homes mainly belong to the middle class with most working in the city. More homes are on one layer in areas around the city often forming their own sectors. Cities are also typically further inland to prevent damage from strong wind and allow room for docks.
