Everyone loves a Sandy Beach. We were headed to Roman Nose State Park, but found out the dam is under construction and the lake is very low. We drove a little further to Canton Lake and found a great Corps of engineer campsite. It has great lakeside spots with lots of shade. “I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in tune once more. ~ John Burrows Our last camping trip of the year coincided with a Halloween celebration at the lake. We didn’t have costumes, but were welcomed anyway. 😊 We walked a path that led to a nocturnal animal (Halloween costumed person) who then read a poem about themselves and handed each child a piece of candy. So much fun!! I love that big sis and daddy were able to join in on a nature outing. So often they hear the stories after the fact and don’t get to join in due to other responsibilities.
