My children really struggled with the heat today. This is not a picture of a child falling down the stairs. This is a child getting themselves intentionally into a strange position, because they can't find a way to function in this RELENTLESS heat and do not know what to do with themselves! This mornings look: defeat. ⁣ ⁣ I woke up at 3:30, let the dog out & fed her, got myself ready for the gym. Chest day, fully ready to kill it! But I had a mild headache, no big deal. I’ll take some preworkout (probably the worst decision) and be fine. ⁣ ⁣ Wrong. ⁣ ⁣ Got to the gym, was only able to do 2 things, 6 sets because my head was pounding. If I was to drop a dumbbell on my head it wouldn’t hurt so much. So I said ok I won’t lift I’ll just do the stair master. ⁣ ⁣ Yeah that lasted 3 minutes. ⁣ ⁣ So I sit in my car feeling defeated, but also knowing I need to listen to my body, and thinking I should have listened at 330 when I felt the headache. ⁣ ⁣ But not going to let this set the tone for my day.
