        Slowly I creep through my dark and quiet one-bedroom dorm, aiming for the bathroom with laptop in hand and music turned up in my ears. I quickly grab my ice cream and shut the bathroom door hoping not to wake my sleeping roommate. I open the pint and begin to stuff my face with the chocolatey goodness scoop by scoop. I think back to all those times we shared together and how we’ve grown to becoming the same entity. But along the way I’ve realized just how different you’ve truly become. Those days were long walks were a blessing turned into shared walks with your friends. I slowly but surely have been pushed aside and replaced by the image that your friends want to push you to become. Sadly, my best friend has turned into someone that I can no longer recognize. The person whose feelings I would consider before thinking of my own, whose heart I’ve protected for years from heartless bitches, and the person whose life and soul I’ve been trying to push for the brightest of futures. And how am I thanked? With someone who no longer comes to my rescue. Who cares so strongly in private but can’t show it in public.. I can no longer jump on your back to carry me through the storm instead I have become that “friend from school”. I thought I was a bit more than that but I guess good girls finish last….
