Tomorrow is a somewhat short day at work, and once I get home, I'll most likely spend the afternoon watching more races and medal ceremonies, because that seems to be my pattern after work these days.

this week is one of those where I wish I could just fast forward past the worst, but that's when you realize that hell isn't a place we go when we die. it's facing the inevitability of our own mortality by seeing another meeting theirs. watching a loved one fade from a brilliant sun to a barely smoldering cinder. watching the unbreakable crumble beneath the weight of grief. that is hell.
