I know I almost tagged this as "#I mean same" immediately after
Writing Tips: How to make anĀ āun-originalā concept becomeĀ āoriginalā
Think of it like a math equation:
A+B=C
A is the setting
B is the conflict/problem
C is the concept
So if we go by algebra standards as an example:
ie: A= steampunk setting, Ā Ā Ā B= zombies Ā Ā Ā A + B = C Ā Ā Ā Steampunk+ zombies= Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (sorry, I had to XD)
Or, we can go even further with this:
A= setting B= conflict/problem C= cliche character troupes E= genre D= concept (the new original idea)
ie: A= Modern day Ā Ā Ā B= Kidnapping Ā Ā Ā C= Homeless people (I donāt know, just whipping it out there) Ā Ā Ā E= Comedy
Modern day+Kidnapping+Homeless people+Comedy= premise of the plot
Premise: Set in the modern day where there was a kidnapping involved and the only person(s) who can find the hostage are homeless people and as the story progresses the plot is set for them to go through comedic scenarios.
(Nope, I am not making fun of the homeless, Iām just making an example)
Haha.... I must be soo sleep deprived to suddenly merge story writing with algebra.... XD
