AWARE FOR A LONG TIME?????

something that has been deeply bothering me for years about kpop is that it really sheds light on the fact that no, it doesn't matter that a song is super catchy and is mixed well or has some amazing lyricism going on; the person performing might hate it and was reluctant to release it. as a creative i cannot imagine for the life of me signing away my childhood, adolescence and young adulthood to a company that might let me have a little wiggle room to produce what i want as long as they think my ideas will chart. to come back from an almost 4 year hiatus as a group with a lackluster album that is now being dragged along with my skill, artistry, and name that i didn't even want to make in the first place would have me raging on the shareholder floor. if i was any bts member i would be pissed the fuck OFF rn.
