i made a particularly bad batch of weed butter a couple weeks ago that i think i'm going to have to dispose of. whenever i eat it, it causes me to have elm street style nightmares within nightmares. the first time it happened i was like, damn, that was terrifying and the worst night of sleep i've ever had, but it was probably a coincidence. now, after testing it about 4 more times, i'm convinced that i've created some sort of sleep paralysis torture potion. last night, i laid down to go to sleep and reverse inceptioned through like 8 nightmares. i finally actually woke up in my human body completely exhausted from fighting for my life all night and checked the time, just to see i was only asleep for approximately 90 minutes.
i wish i could test this on other people to see if i've truly made something evil....

From buds to butter
We had an all-day rain Wednesday - perfect weather for turning my raw, home-grown marijuana buds into cannabutter.
It’s a simple, but time-consuming, process - 3 hours-plus from buds to butter.
This photo shows the first step - decarboxylation, which is the process of heating cannabis to convert its non-psychoactive compounds into active ones. I spread the buds out on a cookie sheet and heat it for an hour in a 240-degree oven.
I boil the de-carbed buds in a couple of quarts of water with 3/4 of a cup of butter (the amount I need for my oatmeal-raisin cookies). Then I strain the plant matter out of the mixture and put the pot of liquid in the fridge for 24 hours. The butter rises to the top and forms a solid crust.
On the next rainy day I’ll bake some cookies.
