My first visit back to Uruguay after moving out at the beginning of 2017. Having been so soon it felt rather normal and exciting! I won't say I took it for granted, because I genuinely did a lot and enjoyed it, but considering how often nostalgia hits me now and how long I spent away afterwards these photos do feel bittersweet.
I struggle sometimes with presenting the strongest image vs the complete image. As I am an immigrant I also want to be sensitive to the country that I now call home. This photo feels like me. The one I posted earlier feels less honest about my vision.
A veces me cuesta elegir entre mostrar la foto más potente o la que cuenta la historia completa. Como soy inmigrante, también quiero ser respetuoso con el paÃs que hoy es mi hogar. Esta foto me representa. La que publiqué antes siento que es menos honesta con mi visión.
