Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. 3 large eggs. 1 cup of water. 1 cup of frosting color corresponding to the gender. 2 cups of candy melts pink and/or blue. Cake pop sticks. Edible glitter or sprinkles for decoration.
Instructions: Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water until well combined. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan and bake according to the package instructions. Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl. Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until you achieve a dough-like consistency. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray. Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to the package instructions. Dip the cake pop sticks into the melted candy melts and insert them into the cake balls. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, covering it completely. Allow any excess to drip off. Place the cake pops upright in a Styrofoam block to set. Decorate with edible glitter or sprinkles according to the gender reveal theme. Allow the cake pops to fully set before serving or packaging for the reveal.
