A Disney shareholder is speaking out against the company's involvement in Florida politics by actively opposing the Republican-led "Parental Rights in Education" bill championed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
And so it begins - - -
I understand that these are onty the views of one person, but remember that as a publicly traded company, the board of directors needs to listen to its shareholders. If you have any Disney stock, from one share to one million, start writing letters to that board. Let them know of your displeasure that their company has taken and of the intentions and actions that you will be taking with your dollars.
The address for Disney is: Walt Disney Co., 500 South Buena Vista Street, Burbank California 91521
Here is a list of their Board:
Robert A. Chapek, Chief Executive Officer & Director
Susan E. Arnold, Lead Independent Director
Amy L. Chang, Director
Calvin R. McDonald, Independent Director
Mark G. Parker, Independent Director
Mary Teresa Barra, Independent Director
Safra Ada Catz, Independent Director
Francis A. deSouza, Independent Director
Michael B. G. Froman, Independent Director
Derica W. Rice, Independent Director
Get that ink flowing, my people. We don’t have a vote on the board, so let’s start voting with our dollars. Hit them where it hurts!!!! Cancel you vacation plans, stop you streaming services to Disney+, Hulu+ (or Hulu in any of its forms), and ESPN+ and boycott ABC. Start writing to people who advertise on these channels and tell them that they need to stop their advertising or you will stop buying their products.
Let’s show them that we are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!!!
