Bought a 2005 Bombardier DS650 Baja Racer as my partner's companion quad to ride alongside my Predator.
It's kinda unbelievable how immaculate the chassis is. Not a spot of rust on the frame or the a-arms, both of which I had to completely repaint on the Polaris.
Unfortunately its previous owner was completely clueless and held it for five years, however. He rode it out to meet us, parked it up, and claimed it was in great condition as it pissed petrol into its skidplate. I'm like um, that's a lot of fuel. He's all oh yeah I forgot to turn off the fuel tap. SIR. You shouldn't have to. You do understand that??
So yeah, it needs a full carb rebuild and a new switch for the fan. Otherwise it really is remarkably clean. We greased up the (bone dry) bearings straight away and it already feels hugely sturdy and plush. Rode beautifully up the field as well — it doesn't spit fuel when it's running, so it's almost definitely a problem with the float or one of the ancient o-rings.
It also needs new foot webbing, because who tf thinks an orange bike needs baby blue straps, my god.
Preddy for comparison:
