Let’s talk about fuel
Protein, veggies, carbs, all the good stuff! As an athlete, I am constantly on the look out for new sources of fuel, lucky for me the vegetarian station in the dining hall has something new everyday. After my tough workout last Tuesday, I sprinted to the dining hall to refuel my body and replenish all the calories lost. I quickly grabbed a delicious plate full of tofu, rice, and asparagus.
After a hard gym session at McCann, make sure you refuel properly. Your plate should have a good balance of carbohydrates, fiber and protein.
Remember- food is fuel!

Bloomsburg University is hosting a free food demo on how to make a cheap, quick, and healthy breakfast for students.
An Aramark chef will facilitate the workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m. in the Scranton Commons Dining Hall. The demonstration gives an example of a low cost and healthy breakfast that provides students with a great start to the day.
Anyone is welcome, no ID or meal plan required.
