I’m gonna be a camp counselor for Girl Scout camp over the summer, which is really fun. However, often times the kids try to guess your real name because a lot of counselors use camp names (Chief, Avacado, Scout, etc.) So here’s some fun stuff I came up with to help ward off deadnaming! My camp name is Moss, for context.
“I knew my mom put the wrong name again. *sigh. No, that’s my evil twin.”
“My camp name is really my name. *make up some elaborate bs story on why a parent would name their kid moss.”
*violently sob* “I-I haven’t had a name in so long! Moss just sounded so right, there’s no way *deadname* is my real name.”
“Lol no. I don’t have a name.”
“I’ll let you know my name on *day after camp ends*”
“My name is…no. My sign is no. My number is no”
“I’d tell you my name but they can hear us right now, sorry.”
Any suggestions?
