Camillus Con 2015 - brief thoughts
Last year for CamCon, I brought out Mickey Mouse. This year, I went as "Normal Person in Sunglasses and a Psych shirt." I wanted to break out my Brook from One Piece, but I didn't have the time. I think the location and time of year were excellent choices. A college campus practically to themselves in summer was ideal. It being at the library last year was pretty fun, don't get me wrong, this offered more open space. The con grew since last year, which is excellent to see. Kind of like Anime Syracuse when it first started. Like last year, I was only able to go for a short time. I liked what I saw. And if camilluscon runs next year - OCC, Maxwell Library, etc. - I'll try and stay longer.

Cam con are pleased to announce we are having a FAN ART CONTEST! We are opening this contest in search for our mascot the Genie's new look and would love to see what they look like at Camillus Con 2015!! the file attached to this post holds the form for the contest based on the Genie's tastes. First place will gain FREE ENTRY to this years Cam Con along with entrance of their genie's look on ALL advertisement including brochures and buttons! Second and Third place will also be included as guest genies within brochures and buttons along with this year's mascot! Send us your pictures and a signed contract in our submit box. Hi everyone! Camillus Con has been meeting again and we are looking for new volunteers! :)
If you live in the central New York state area, we would love to have you aboard! Please download the linked application from Google Docs and fill it out, then email it to [email protected]. We will review each and every application and email you back if we end up choosing you!
We will most likely be picking nearly all, if not absolutely all, of the volunteers who take the time to apply.
It would be wonderful if you could come volunteer with us; we really would love to have more volunteers who can become friends with us. :)

Volunteer Spotlight: Zoe
Zoe Osborne is 15 years old ("too young") and she has been working for the convention for two years. She currently attends school in Marcellus.
Zoe's fandoms are Dangan Ronpa, Sailor Moon, and Homestuck. When asked about her dream job, Zoe replied, "What's a job." She thinks she is soooooooo funny! (She is, in all reality.)
Her favorite color is anything pastel, and she said that her hobbies and interests are Macklemore and pastel clothes. I'm not kidding, that's basically a direct quote.

Volunteer Spotlight: Peter
Peter Lammey is 18 years old and has been volunteering for the convention for two years! He is going to attend Nazareth College this fall.
His fandoms are mainly Firefly, Superwholock, and SNK. However, Peter says that he also has "like a billion others", which I am sure is true. Peter's favorite color is black and/or purple.
Peter's interests and hobbies include writing, playing music, writing music, listening to music, and crying over TV shows. (Seriously, if you get him talking about Scrubs, he will not stop.)
His dream job is to be the frontman or bass player for a successful punk band.
