Nelson is Cam’s favorite older brother. Nelson is the oldest of the four where Cam is the youngest, and Nelson has a kid (Cam’s niece - Annie, who he adores). 

The reason he’s Cam’s favorite is because he was the only one who made an effort to treat Cam the same after their mother’s death. He’s the only one who has really kept in contact, once Cam reached out to him, after he was kicked out, and Nelson is just generally very kind and loving. He never blamed Cam, and basically did most of the work raising Cam after their mother died. 

“I used to dislike him,” Cam laughs, “I used to think I’d never be able to agree with his views on humans and mutants finding peace together. Part of me might still feel that way, but he... inspires hope where there is none. It’s admirable, and... I’m a little jealous that he can remain so...” Cam chuckles and shakes his head. “I was gonna say stubborn, but steadfast is probably a little closer- that he can remain so steadfast in his beliefs about the goodness in people. 

Ultimately, I wouldn’t work at his school if I didn’t think highly of him, now that I’ve gotten to know him. And... maybe I want to believe in whatever good he thinks he sees in me, even when I doubt it myself.” 

Cam smirks and tilts his head.

“Plus, he’s cute. I think it’d be fun to call him ‘professor’ while he’s all hot and bothered. Making him blush seems like it’d be fun! I’d fuck ‘im. Or let him fuck me. Or both.” 

(I have another accent ask in here for all my characters, so I’m going to answer this one with Cam since he’s my main!) 

For a good chunk of middle school, and all of high school, Cam grew up in Baton Rogue, Louisiana. He hasn’t lived there since he was 18, he lived mostly in New York after that, and he’s 27 now, so the southern, Louisiana accent has all but disappeared. 

On bad nights, Cam sleepwalks. He’s never made it out of the apartment the couple times it’s happened, the furthest he’s made it is his living room. More often he wakes standing up, seeing his room demolished and moving because his powers activated in his sleep. 

Waylon sleeptalks, but it’s mostly little murmurs and random sounds. Rarely, he’ll say audible phrases and words, and if Rosmond caught him at the right time he could probably illicit one of those sleep-talk “conversations”, but for the most part it’s a phrase and then silence again. 

Cam scoffs, rubs the back of his neck, and then laughs. His cheeks warm slightly. 

“What do you want me to say? Gotta be more specific than that.”
