How's 2022 going for you so far? Another self development goal getting ticked off my list this year. Lewes Camera Club held its annual image of year competition 2019/2020 my first entering since joining last year. Through out the year I've scored a few silver and Bronze medals. This time it was held completely online. I'm excited to announce that although I didnt win image of the year, I did however gain my first GOLD image award. Which I'm super happy about. On a sunny day in june 2016 Portobello High School invited the public to say goodbye to the old building before the school moved to it's new and modern site. Old students who since became parents or even grand parents filled the building the last time, reciting old stories and padding old schoolmates on the back. The following ten images taken on that open day. Ten different desk of ten different teachers, many still teaching now in the new building on new desks. These are not simply images of the past but rather images of characters in a point of transition. Competition night at New City PS and tonight it’s the annual Creative Digital Competition and for the first time in a few years I’ve managed to cobble together the four entries. First up is Late Delivery. A shot taken at the @bclivingmuseum on a dull & overcast day and treated to look like an evening shot. Second up is Return to Base. A base shot of a stormtrooper from @imperialreapersquadron processed to have him watching the return of a tie fighter to base. Third, we have a patrol of three troopers from Reaper Squad with the twin setting suns of tattoine behind them. Finally an image of a pair of Twi’lek Jedi Masters defending the entrance tunnel to the rebel base.
