Today, September 6, “Sunflower, No Sun” and “Autumn’s Closing In” were featured by a new iPhone camera app developer, NeuralCam, in their Instagram Stories.

NeuralCam is an exciting new kind of camera that uses AI to capture the most possible light in situations where the sun has already gone down, or isn’t really up yet. Even in the dark. I’ve been shooting with it - handheld - for the last five days and it’s got me fascinated.

Sometimes I’m just leaving the capture alone (maybe cropping) and sometimes - like here - I’m experimenting with some of my usual editing workflows to see their effects on the NeuralCam captures. In both, I cropped and edited with iColoramaS and Hipstamatic and did a little retouching to the lower one with TouchRetouch.
