after posting that picture of my wife + i’s rings, every once in a while, someone asks about them.

i don’t have hers to take a picture of them right now, but i took this one of mine back on our honeymoon trip. it’s a blue sapphire ring with an open wedding band…some diamond details. i realize this is impractical, but i like the way it just kind of fits snug in there. one big hug to the other; looks like a cat if you flip it around. plus, later for milestones, a ring jacket can be added to the top for an amazing three-piece set. obsessed. i, technically, got to pick them both out. this wasn’t my first engagement ring from my wife…the original one she proposed with was an ethiopian fire opal, but it was porous and hard to take care of - long story. either way, i’m not a big diamond girl, so this was perfect.

blue is my favorite color – i call my wife “blu.” we started dating in september 2019. sometime after we picked this one out, we discovered that sapphire was the birth stone of september.. purely coincidental, but we loved it even more because of it💙
