Design for Cambridge Terrace pod
This pod is encased in acrylic glass, as a reference to the big, beautiful windows of Lane Neave, a building near the pod. I chose this design due to the sunny and bright atmosphere of the site, and thought it would be a shame to not take advantage of the sun.Â
Design Ideas for Cambridge Terrace Pods
When researching the site of my Cambridge Terrace pod, Lane Neave caught my eye. The stunning building has big, beautiful window, reflecting the light, making the area of my pod very bright.Â
The top idea plays off the idea of the reflections, creating more and providing privacy for the user of the pod. The pod will be encased in mirror.Â
The next idea, once again, plays of the idea of the big windows, but instead of reflecting, the light will be let in. As the space gets a lot of sunshine, it would be a shame to not experience this, so the pod would be encased in Poly(methyl methacrylate) or acrylic glass. This is a lightweight and shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
