      He’d been walking around with the EMF meter in his hands ; it was beeping as per usual, though the hunter didn’t put much effort into concealing the noise. As far as he was concerned, the floor of the government building he was investigating was basically empty, and everyone on the other floors were quite occupied with their daily tasks. He had entered the establishment with an FBI-badge, but he had announced his departure about thirty minutes prior to his unsanctioned trip to the floor he had sneaked up to. 

      It was needless to say, therefore, that he was caught a bit off-guard by the man who had peered into the room at him and was now standing in the doorway ; quickly, Dean took one last glance at the meter before shoving it into the inside pocket of his coat. Of course, it was now up to him to explain himself. There were many moments in which his abilities to wing his way out of a tricky situation on the spot were profound. After all, he had been doing it for years. --- ( This was not one of those moments. )

Sam chuckled a bit and wrapped his arms around the smaller man, patting his back. “It’s okay, man. I promise.” he told the slightly inebriated Ben, following with an awkward pat to the head. “We’re gonna sober you up and it’ll all be fine. If there’s one thing Winchesters know about, it’s how to counteract the effects of booze.”
