How I feel about this character: God he's such a bitch and I'm obsessed with him. I love him when he's evil, I love him when he's nice, I love him when he's suave, I love him when he's a silly little wet cat of man who just need affection. He drives me insane.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: So obviously Blaine is my top one, Seblainer for life. But then I of course love him with Kurt, I've been recently intrigued by the idea of him with Sam, and like I'd probably be down for him and Elliot. I think I've seen him with Adam before, definitely read so Huntbastian. Y'know, he's got options, but Blaine and Kurt are the god tier choices.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: You know it's Santana and you, more than anyone else, understand my passion for them. They're just so similar I just feel like they'd understand each other in a way few other characters can truly connect with them. Like they could pull each other into and out of so much trouble, it'd be amazing. I need all the sebtana in my life.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I relish all fic about Sebastian, but I do sometimes feel like he gets written by people who don't understand him. And not even in a "he's misunderstood and not that bad" kind of way but in a, "this man's primary language is banter and he simply will not sound like himself without it" kind of way. You can add so much to his character that can vastly shift his personality from canon, but the key to writing him believably is banter, and without that, he falls really flat. This is even more of a problem in fics where he's interacting with Kurt, because banter feels like a key part of their relationship, be it a positive or negative one. You can get away with less banter with Blaine, but with Kurt it's so necessary and its one of the big things that can put me off on a fic, no matter how well everything else is written.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I mean, I obviously wish he'd gotten to actually date Blaine in canon, but I also wish he'd just gotten to be /friends/ with Kurt and Blaine in the end. I just feel like after all the bad history was over with and healed from, and they'd all grown up, he'd fit really well with them and I just wish we'd gotten the chance to see that, even if he didn't romantically end up with either of them.

Okay, so Want You Back was supposed to be a fun silly little thing about Sebastian and Blaine breaking up but then continuously falling back into bed with each other. It was inspired originally by the song Want U Back by Never because I wanted to be different than just using the Jackson 5 song and that's about like all your friends hating the ex you want to get back with. But then because it's me it got really angsty.

But it kept happening. They’d end up at the club again, and they’d see each other across the room, and then they’d have sex in the bathroom, the car, the alley. They never took it to either of their places. Sebastian still lived in the same apartment and Blaine couldn’t risk Kurt seeing them together. 

They didn’t talk about it. They didn’t talk at all aside from the normal platitudes exchanged during sex. A series of Oh gods and fucks and harders. 

The secret didn’t last forever, though. Santana’s latest fling saw them exiting the bathroom together, faces flushed, hair mussed, and sent a cheeky Snapchat to Santana and Kurt. She didn’t know who Sebastian was. She didn’t know the chaos she had just unleashed on Blaine. 

The intervention was swift. They gathered all of their friends and gave Blaine all of the reasons why he and Sebastian weren’t good together. Why he needed to stop whatever they were doing before he got seriously hurt. Why he could end up hurting Sebastian without ever knowing it. 

He avoided the club for a few weeks. But there was an itch under his skin that was driving him up the wall, so when Kurt had to leave for the weekend for a family emergency, Blaine caved. 

He called Sebastian. 

And then my free day was indeed inspired by someone putting All You Wanna Do on a Sebastian playlist and making me very very sad. And then someone else had Sorry by Halsey on a different Sebastian playlist and that made me sad so I wrote an entire fic about Sebastian not believing he has worth outside of sex.

Sebastian Smythe could not understand Blaine Anderson.

He’d had many many fuck buddies over the course of his sexually active life. But, on the rare occasion they didn’t leave immediately after the deed was done, they would leave within a few hours. Maybe they’d have dinner, or watch a movie together.

But Blaine. Blaine would just invite himself over to Sebastian’s apartment. He’d teasingly asked for a key so he could surprise Sebastian sometimes, and Sebastian had just shrugged and given it to him. But he had been under the assumption that the surprises would usually involve finding Blaine in various states of undress. Not with an apron on while something that smelled absolutely delicious simmered on the stovetop.

Sebastian had just leaned against the door the first time it had happened and watched. He was too perplexed to say anything until Blaine finally noticed him with a small jump. 

“Jesus, Bas,” he said with a hand pressed to his heart.

That was something else Blaine did that was weird. The closest he’d ever gotten to a nickname from someone else was Daddy. But Blaine rarely said his full name. The familiarity both warmed and terrified him. 

Do you outline your fics?  If yes, how detailed are your outlines?  How far do you stray from them? That depends on the fic. A lot of my shorter things I go purely on vibes. I have an idea, and I write it. But my longer stories are usually pretty extensively outlined or at least I have a bullet pointed listed of various scenes I'd like to include, but those lists are ever shifting and growing throughout the writing process and there will usually be much more in the original story than existed in my outline.

Do you listen to music while you write?  If yes, what have you been listening to recently? I usually do, I actually have a very extensive Seblaine playlist specifically that I primarily listen to when I'm writing but of course right now I've been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift.

Justice: favorite color of rose? Oh, I do absolutely love the yellow roses with red tips. They're just so pretty and fun and I love the way they look like a sunset. If I had to pick a single color rose, I'd probably say orange.
