With Dixie at the groomers and Ellie distracted enough to drag her away from all of the new things she had gotten for her birthday, Beth had bundled them into their coats, into the car before hotfooting it over to her brother’s house. Although they had seen each other at their parents house at various times, Beth couldn’t be sure she’d had any one-on-one time with her brother since that early morning in the kitchen after Maddie had gone missing. It was only a short drive, thankfully for Beth’s sanity as Ellie put her favourite song on repeat once again, just as they pulled up on the driveway. 

Helping Ellie out of the car and to the front door, Beth used the key she had ‘for emergencies only’ to open the door and let herself in, calling out, “It’s me, it’s totally an emergency so don’t yell at me for using my key. Don’t ask what the emergency is though.” Closing the door behind them, Beth took off their coats before leading them through and out of the hallway. “Cal? Your niece is present so please be presentable.”

Callum had seemed restless and stressed out lately. His stay in Winter wasn't the easiest and Dorian knew that so he took him out for a walk to help him clear his mind or at least distract him for a bit. Walking around Sarhart market and exploring a bit more of Starlight kept Dorian busy and entertained and he hoped it would do the same to his friend as he dragged him around while Dorian looked at trinkets and tried some food he'd never tried before.

"I know most fae are beside themselves over all of this but, me? I'm— thrilled?" He said, knowing he probably sounded insane but Dorian was naturally curious and being able to explore a completely unknown place was just too good for him. "Are you staying in Sterallia? You have to sneak me in so we can go snooping. What have you found? Tell me everything." The emissary was as excited as a child with a sweet rush, or maybe it was this treat he was eating. Either way, he wanted to know everything.

It had just been a fun little thing Jiya had decided to sign up for on a whim. After the disastrous ending to her first date post her last relationship, the doctor had realised that she had to do better, she had to start moving on. One of the steps? The speed dating event. She had been nervous, but as soon as it had started, it almost reminded her of her college days. For Jiya, she didn’t get a whole lot of downtime between her job and her son, but this was exactly the kind of thing she needed, where no pressure was on anyone.

It had been a fun evening, considering she was still relatively new to town, if anything, it was an opportunity to meet people, which she definitely had. As she shrugged into her coat, Jiya felt like she was almost chasing her sleeve. As she finally slipped her hand into the arm hole, she straightened her arm, instantly hitting someone behind her. “Oh my god, I am so, so, sorry, I wasn’t looking.” Pulling the coat on, she turned, her lips parting slightly at the sight of the blonde. “What a great second impression, huh?”
