Apparently there's a rumor that the main issue is the government investigating different aspects of the company's products and not necessarily lads nor the latest update. And basically they retracted Valko temporarily until they can move their legal stuff to Taiwan where they won't have to deal with these issues

Others stay convinced that it was caused directly by the protests led by the cn players who for some reason find issue with a fictional werewolf but I guess a mafia overlord is positively fine, even going as far as to make racist and homophobic remarks on the design

There's even a conspiracy that this is all marketing: the hate comments, the cow dung, the threats would have been all an inside job to somehow push the new update

You guys be the judge of that.

But yeah the two main pieces of evidence are the fact that on their latest post addressed to the players, there's no official seal, meaning that they can technically retract their statement, and the fact that the content portraying Valko hasn't been deleted across social media, but instead privated.

Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is the fact that cn players are not all united against Valko's release; aside from a group of (parasocial) players, they are in favour of a new love interest but seeing as infold dropped the bomb before one of the more sensitive days for china, they haven't been able to spread the word like we have in the rest of the world
