Okay, jokes mostly aside, it's opinion time. I have a weird history with this ship, so buckle up.

Honestly, I wasn't a Calivada shipper at first. I actually openly disliked it. Mostly because I just couldn't see it, and I didn't like the way Vada treated Cal in canon. That was until I read this fic, and I was (seperately) enlightened. I realized that I could ship whatever I wanted, and not all my ships had to be fun or fluffy. They could be toxic and messy!

Though, I still wasn't a huge fan, you know? I was mostly neutral from then on, even up to the newest episode (moose on the loose). I realized i prefer the ship as frenemies and gossip buddies that meet up and drink together every once in a while. Probably make out, too. They're pretty and gay, so why not? (/silly)

But then, I was discussing Cali ships with my partners when I was hit with a fixation so strong?? It was just the overwhelming urge to make everything Calivada. Headcannons, art, writing, everything. I don't know why. It was all I thought about for a couple of days, and it fueled this piece entirely. The Calivada virus got me, unfortunately 😔.

Anyway, I love them now but only as exes that keep getting back together even though they reaaaally shouldn't. Exes to questionable lovers/fwb/gossip buddies/whatever the fuck they got going on dear lord. To quote myself,

"They could absolutely get something going, but they both have commitment issues. Sometimes they'll wake up next to each other (one of them usually leaves in the middle of the night) and they'll have a weirdly soft moment where they can be peacful in the other's presence. At least until the weight of their relationship becomes unbearable and they ruin it again. They never talk about it."

I think I stand by that. Idk my opinion on them fluctuates wildly, and I think that they should just stay in their little box in my brain.
