the said man turn around at your voice, seeing you stand by yourself with an anxious look on your face.

"what is it?" cale asked. in a few moments, he has to leave with choi han and raon to meet crown prince valentino.

you seemed a bit jittery, walking closer to him. you slowly raised both hands to him, pausing as your palms near his face, silently asking for permission. when cale leaned down a bit, you finally let your hands to craddle his face.

"cale henituse," you spoke, voice shaking a bit. cale can see that you were anxious, but he can also see the absolute certainty in your pretty (e/c) eyes.

trust. you trusted him.

your eyes looked into his light brown ones, his expression nonchalant as he listens to you.

"be wary of visual deception because things arent always what you thought of them to be," you warned him, which made cale frown a bit, and then you continued, "and... even if it's a disaster, you can block it."

it took cale a few seconds to understand what you were saying. to avoid any major changes to the plot, you decided to always give vague tips and hints that cale and the others has to crack by themselves.

this was one of those hints.

'visual deception?' cale thought, finding your choice of words odd. 'do they mean things like optical illusions?'

'and then there's 'block',' cale continued internally. 'a disaster? will something happen there?'

"be safe," you told him, dropping your hands.

cale had a fleeting thought that he wished that you had held him longer, but he quickly dismiss it.

there's no time for that during such times.

"dont get hurt too much and come back quick. and dont make raon cry too much."

now cale was face to face with white star, watching as the sky eating water's large water spears shot toward the pillars of fire made by white star.

loud explosions could be heard as the water and fire clashed. the ground started to shake as well. sizzling sounds came from all directions.

it seemed as if the world was flipping over.

cale thought of your words; "even if it's a disaster, you can block it."

white star then spoke with pupils shaking in disbelief, “…this is not possible. you can block a disaster?”

'so this is what they meant,' cale thought, letting himself grin a bit, smugness and confidence surfacing on his face even more as he realized he had this all under control.

he's not entirely sure whether his heart beating quicker is because he's using way too much of his ancient powers or because the thought of finishing this fight quickly and do as you had told him,
