Can I get some headcanons for how companions react when Sole tries to teach some kids at Diamond City every curse word they know of?
Cait - She definitely joins in, giggling along with Sole and the children. Oh, she would so love to see the reaction of parents upon hearing what foul words their kid knows.
Codsworth - The robot does a little ‘tsk tsk tsk’ sound before actually speaking: “Oh, sir/mum! You really shouldn’t teach the children such awful words! Think of little Shaun!”
Curie - Throws confused looks from time to time, but says nothing. After they leave, she quietly speaks her mind: “The words you said, I thought they were bad words, no?”
Dogmeat - As easy-going as the goodest boy alive he is, he doesn’t really give a woof.
Danse - The strong mountain of muscles is visible more tense than ever as he tries to keep a straight face. Danse is genuinely confused whether he feels amused, horrified or embarrassed. Several times he attempts to talk Sole into leaving and finally settles on just dragging them away.
Deacon - On his face is an expression that could be only described as absolute euphoria, as he leans in and starts teaching the children words like ‘Flobbermuffin’, ‘Blorkworm’, ‘Plashuha’ and so on. Legends say nobody every found out the meaning of these words of obvious doom.
Hancock - He doesn’t join in, but leans against the wall and chuckles every now and then, sometimes uttering something in the sense ‘Hey, I don’t know this one!’. After Sole’s done, he grins at them: “There’ll be a lot of concerned parents at Dugout Inn tonight…”
MacCready - The sniper tries not to laugh. Oh, how much is he trying to keep his face straight, trying to shoo his amusement away with imagining how would he react had someone taught Duncan such words, after MacCready himself has had such a hard time limiting his swearing…
Nick Valentine - Nick is visibly uncomfortable as neither he uses, or knows, as a matter of fact, so many nasty words. And to think these children who don’t know any better will be running over Diamond City swearing like sailors… He stops Sole suddenly, slowly explaining to the children why they shouldn’t speak like this.
Piper - Of course, she is horrified: “BLUE! I have a sister their age! I don’t want her to speak like this!” Sole stops and turns away from the children to look at her: “Oh please,” they start, “you raised her well, she probably knows the majority of these, but she doesn’t use them, because she knows better!” Sole doesn’t carry on talking to the kids and Piper is grinning broadly at the compliment.
Preston - Poor guy looks more upset than he did not two hours ago, when there were raiders shooting at them from all directions. He really cannot bear this, being as soft-spoken as he is and grabs Sole by the shoulder, not hard, but firm. “General, please, don’t…” is all he says, speaking quietly so only Sole hears him. They give him an apologetic smile and begin to walk away.
Strong - He knows he heard these words before, usually yelled by humans before they died. He even thought he knew the meaning of some, but many of them were absolutely strange for his ears.
X6-88 - Visibly annoyed, probably rolling his eyes underneath the sunglasses. If he knew what the action meant and if he actually had watches, he would probably go and explicitly check them in silent impatience. “Sir/Ma’am!” he snaps loud enough to get the children and Sole flinch, “we really don’t have the time for this nonsense!” X6 then starts casually walking away, forcing Sole to follow.
