Peter pretended to be fine. They were back in England after all, and he had to look after his siblings. But every night, he would sit down after Edmund fell asleep in the room they shared at the Professor’s house and write his wife a letter. Some nights’ are longer, some are shorter. But he persisted. Every night.

Susan disappeared. She was always helping Mrs. MacCready with everything to keep busy; the other three barely saw her. She stopped playing the piano and stopped reading poetry. He loved both, and that memory was too painful.

Edmund became very quiet. He could be found reading or playing chess with Peter, but it took a long time for him to laugh or joke again. He found a locket just like the one he gave his fiancée in a shop and didn’t take it off for years after. Late at night, when he knew Peter was writing, was the only time he would cry because he knew his big brother was in pain too.

MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT:

Currently half-time at the jousting contest between our two Kings, the staff at Cair Paravel saw it only suit to invite everyone across the land to a great feast in which to celebrate our favourite Monarchs. All the residence of the palace are formally invited to sit at the high table and enjoy some fine delicacies with great music and dancing. Congratulations to all those invited to such a grand event and we look forward to seeing you around court soon!
